Dec 3, 2015 - Lately I hear a lot in cookie community about the so-called dryers that help the icing on the cookies to take an entirely different view, the surface becomes shiny and beautiful. For those of you who did not buy a dehydrator as well for those who have not enough room in the kitchen for another device, I have good news - you do not have to spend money to buy a dehydrator. You already have it in your kitchen. And this is your oven. Yes! I set to 100F and leave cookies ( with Royal icing on top of them) in the oven for 15 minutes. If your oven has a fan air - it is a big plus. Take a look at the pics I intentionally left a cookie on the table to dry at room temperature (it is on the left) and the other placed in the oven (right). The difference is clearly visible! Do you agree with me? My oven is working great! Conclusion - I personally will not buy dehydrator :)
