Large antique Scottish 19th Century hanging cast iron griddle plate. Otherwise known as a bakestone or swing skillet.
Traditional Scottish cookware. Placed on the fire or hot plate for making cakes or drop scones, eggs etc.
Good working order - a no nonsense piece of Scottish history. Larger than usual.
Size:
Diameter: 14 inches; Height of handle: 8.25 inches, to top of hook: 11 inches.
Weight: 3.5 kg (allow 7.5 kg volumetric weight once packed).
Condition commensurate with age and use - various superficial marks & scratches and some superficial corrosion but perfectly functional.
